Making Toast

In our studio class, we created steps on simple daily tasks and then created one of them into a flow chart.

First we created a list, with step by step guide on how to make toast.

1. Grab a slice (or two) of bread
2. Plug in the toaster
3. Turn the toaster timer for 1 minute
4. Place singular slices of toast into the separate slots
5. Pull down the lever to start the toast
6. Wait
7. Once toast has popped up, remove from toaster
8. Place toast onto a plate
9. Grab spread desired (butter, nutella, jam or peanut butter is recommended)
10. Use a butter knife to scoop up spread
11. Use knife at a 45 degree angle to spread onto the bread
12. Spread knife from one edge of the toast to the other
13. Repeat until toast is covered in spread
14. Repeat onto second toast is there is one 

A refined list was created to then be turned into a flow chart. This refined list included decisions such as yes or no paths.

1. Grab slices of toast
2. Is the toaster plugged in
3. (If no) Plug in toaster
4. Turn the toaster settings onto desired settings
5. Push down on the toaster lever
6. Wait until toast pops up
7. Is the toast the desired amount of toastiness
8. (If no) Place toast back into toaster
9. Take the toast out and spread desired spread onto the toast
